The Coast Guard announced that it rescued 30 migrants off the coast of Samos in the early hours of Monday morning.
The initial reports indicate that the migrants attempted to scuttle their vessel as soon as they noticed the Coast Guard patrol craft in the area.
All of the migrants have been taken to Pythagorio on Samos, where they are currently being held.
