PASOK and “58” meet to discuss the formation of a Greek “Olive Τree”

Representatives from PASOK and the Initiative of 58 have arranged to meet today in order to discuss the formation of a coalition along the lines of the Italian “Olive Tree” center left coalition for the upcoming elections for the European Parliament.

At first the two sides will discuss the coalition’s name and symbol, the criteria for joining the coalition and arranging a conference in early March. The meeting is scheduled to take place at the PASOK offices in Parliament. The PASOK representatives will be Rigas, Karydis and Katsirakelis, while Kourouzidis, Lazos and Vamvakas will represent the “Initiative of 58”,

A second meeting will take place on Friday, with the participation of other political parties and movements that support the “Initiative”, such as Andreas Loverdos’ Agreement for New Greece.
