The Governor of the Bank of Greece Giorgos Provopoulos spoke at a tourism conference and claimed that Greek tourism must become more competitive.
Mr. Provopoulos referred to stabilizing the seasonal nature of Greek tourism, which in turn would allow Greece to become a model tourism center for the greater region.
The banker also expressed the belief that the tourism industry can contribute decisively in the Greek economy recovery and stimulate growth.
