The President Prokopis Pavlopoulos stated that the future of Greece lies within the European Union and the Eurozone, following his meeting with the head of the EU’s delegation in Athens, Panos Karvounis.
Furthermore, the President underlined that the Greek “will fight for this and we will fight together with our partners, but it is our common goal”. Mr. Karvounis responded that he would pass on the President’s statement to the European Commission.
Earlier, Mr. Pavlopoulos told Dimitris Gratsias, department president of EU’s General Court, that the implementation of European legislation is desired and the basis for the democratic evolution of the European Union. He also expressed his joy that a Greek judge has been appointed in such an important position, as “guarantor of the implementation of European law”.
