Eurogroup agreement to be discussed, but not voted upon in Parliament

The government spokesman Gabriel Sakellaridis revealed that the recent Eurogroup agreement may be brought to Parliament for discussion, but it will not be voted upon, in a interview on RealFM.

Mr. Sakellaridis explained that the government’s decision does not raise any legal issues and dismissed allegations, primarily from the opposition, that the government is attempting to avoid a difficult debate in parliament or even hide agreements.

He explained that the government is not intending to bring it in Parliament to be voted upon since it is merely the extension of the existing loan agreement.
