Despite coming to an agreement at the Eurogroup the financial uncertainty continues to shake the country. The government seems trapped in a cycle of introversion, as a significant portion of its officers, as evident by the recent Central Committee, either completely disagrees with the agreement or has serious reservations.
In the meantime, the serious lack of preparation regarding governing demands becomes evident, just like the multilingualism which does not help improve credibility. Some insist upon pursuing policies via statements and interviews, instead of focusing on the problems they have been assigned to solve and seek out the best possible solutions.
As the liquidity problem becomes increasingly worse, as the necessary resources from our creditors are not entering the economy, it is clear that any attempt to exit the crisis must go through a minefield. The solution employed, of drawing the available resources from the banks, funds and organizations may extend the problem for a few weeks, but it cannot provide a solution.
Overcoming the present situation demands brave and decisive moves from the government. The constant delay in negotiations with the Europeans surely does not help smooth the situation out. The Prime Minister must decide, without any delays, which reforms and changes he is willing to promote, perhaps in opposition to a number of his officers, in order to end the Chinese water torture which the Europeans have enforced upon the funding of our economy.
It is time for decisions. The compromise at the Eurogroup must conclude in order for the economy to start moving forward and society can stop agonizing. There is no more time to waste.
