The decomposing body of an unidentified man was discovered on Thursday afternoon in the seaside area of Kastello on the Aegean island of Karpathos.
The man is appears to have been a migrant. Authorities recovered a mobile phone and a wallet that contained 2,525 euros, 205 Syrian lira and 25 Turkish lira.
An autopsy will be carried out by the medical examiner on Rhodes.
