Greek statistics authority ELSTAT published data indicating that the Greek merchant fleet was reduced by 2.5% in November 2013, compared to the number of ships in November 2012.
The Greek merchant fleet has a total of 1,902 ships with a capacity of 100 gross tons and above. According to ELSTAT, the total capacity of Greek merchant fleet is 44,217,757 gross tons in November 2013 which was 0.3% more than the capacity in 2012.
