Reigning football champions Olympiacos F.C. has been drawn with Manchester United in the knock out phase of this year’s Champions League competition. This development must have pleased the coach of the ‘reds’ Michel, who had previously stated his preference for one of the English teams.
Olympiacos had previously faced Manchester United in the 2002/03 Group stage of the Champions League, with the English side winning both games then. The first leg of the knock out phase is scheduled to take place on the 18th-19th and 25th-26th of February 2014, with the second leg scheduled for the 11th-12th and 18th-19th of March 2014.
The couples drawn were Manchester City FC – FC Barcelona, AC Milan – Atletico Madrid, Bayer 04 Leverkusen – Paris Saint-Germain, Galatasaray AS – Chelsea FC, FC Schalke – Real Madrid CF, FC Zenit – Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal FC – Bayern Munich.
