The Greek statistics authority ELSTAT has published its latest provisional data on commercial transactions in Greece during July 2015 and recorded a 32% plunge in imports, including oil products.

According to ELSTAT the total value of exports-dispatches, in July 2015 amounted to 2308.7 million euros in comparison with 2509.7 million euros in July 2014, recording a drop, in euros, of 8.0%. The corresponding change excluding oil products recorded an increase of 107.6 million euros or 7.0%.

As such, the trade balance deficit in July amounted to 714.9 million euros in comparison with 1939.3 million euros in July 2014, recording a drop, in euros, of 63.1%. The corresponding change excluding oil products recorded a drop of 758.9 million euros or 56,3%.

Furthermore the total value of imports-arrivals from January to July 2015 came to 25302.7 million euros, compared to 28149.6 million euros for the same 7-month period in 2014 recording a 10.1% drop. The corresponding change excluding oil products recorded a drop of 266.6 million euros or 1.4%.

Similarly, the total value of exports-dispatches, for the January to July period, amounted to 15,325 million euros, compared to 15,754.4 million euros for the corresponding period in 2014, thus recording a 2.7% drop. The corresponding change excluding oil products recorded an increase of 1,228 million euros or 12,8%.

Finally, the Trade Balance deficit during the 7-month period from January to July 2015 came to 9,977.7 million euros, in comparison with 12,395.2 million euros for the corresponding period in 2014, recording a 19.5% drop. The corresponding change excluding oil products recorded a drop of 1494.6 million euros or 15.6%.
