Primary surplus 1.73 billion euros at the end of March

The Ministry of Finances announced that at the end of the first trimester of 2015, the primary surplus amounted to 1.732 billion euros, compared to 1.541 billion euros in the three-month period in 2014.

It was also noted that a 587-million-euros shortfall in tax revenue (attributed to the expectations of beneficial tax debt settlements) was covered by resources from the public investment program.

Furthermore, it was announced that the state budget deficit grew to 503 million euros, compared to the 448-million-euro deficit in 2014 and a 2,111 million euro goal.

State budget revenue amounted the 12.020 billion euros (up by 92 million euros), while net revenues of the regular budget amounted to 10.571 billion euros, about 587 million euros from the set target.

Total tax revenue shrunk to 9.314 billion euros, down by about 748 million euros. The rest of non-tax revenues exceeded the set goals by 430 million euros.
