The main opposition party SYRIZA has a 4.9-point lead over New Democracy in the latest polls that were conducted by GPO for Mega Channel.
When asked what party they would vote for if there were general elections tomorrow, the survey showed the following:
- SYRIZA – 28%
- New Democracy – 23.1%
- KKE – 5.5%
- PASOK – 5.1%
- The River – 5.1%
- Golden Dawn – 5%
- Independent – 2.7%
- LAOS – 1.3%
- ANTARSYA – 1.3%
- Other party 5.9%
- Blank 1.7%
- Undecided – 15.3%
When asked who is more a suitable Prime Minister, current PM Antonis Samaras received 44.8% of votes and opposition leader Alexis Tsipras garnered 35.4%, while17% of respondents answered neither. The nationwide survey was conducted on the 11th-13th and 15th of December.
