The Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory in Athens documented a rather weak earthquake, measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale, which occurred about 12 kilometers north of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia.

According to preliminary reports, the earthquake took place at about 8:31 on Wednesday morning. Seismic activity in the area has recently increased, but scientists are not concerned.
