The New Democracy MP Giorgos Georgantas, who was elected in Kilkis, will be appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Education, following the resignation of Giorgos Stylios last week.
The Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and government Vice President Evangelos Venizelos decided to appoint Mr. Georgantas after meeting and discussing options.
Mr. Georgantas, who is a lawyer by trade, participated in the 2009 elections, but was first elected as a member of parliament in 2012’s double elections.
