The police announced the arrest of a 22-year-old man from Pakistan on Thursday morning at the Athens International Airport on drug charges.
The 22-year-old man, who traveled to Greece from Pakistan via Turkey, was found to have 12.310 kilos of heroin in his hand luggage. The heroin had been hidden in six hidden pockets in his travel bag.
According to the police report, the 22-year-old man is a member of a wider drug transporting gang which focuses on transporting opiates from Pakistan to Western Europe.
