The Alternate Minister for Corruption Issues Dimitris Papangelopoulos responded with a written statement to the European Commission’s commentary ον the referral of former ELSTAT chief Andreas Georgiou.
Mr. Papangelopoulos underlined that the Commission is essentially asking the Greek government to interfere with Justice in favor of Mr. Georgiou, while stressing that this violates the Greek constitution and European institutional acquis. “What a shame” he concluded in his statement.
