The Alternate Minister of Sport Stavros Kontonis has threatened to suspend the upcoming football season unless FIFA appoints an interim administration at the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO).
According to the letter sent to FIFA, the Alt. Sports Minister stressed that the current EPO administration made the “illegal decision” to restructure the courts disciplinary committees.
As such, he argued, unless FIFA appoints a new administration and a ‘purge’ is carried out, the Alt. Sports Minister will not greenlight the next football season.
