Everyone fell in his trap. First and foremost New Democracy, followed by the rest of the opposition parties and certain media. Mr. Filis’ provocative and foolish statement has no value for Pontic Greeks. After all, Mr. Filis has made fantastical claims in the past which only made sense in his mind.
Nevertheless he managed to shift and entrap the public discussion on the hardships that a section on Greeks experience a century ago, from what this government is doing and the hardships experienced by our generation. Mr. Filis has the ultimate responsibility to address the many problems in Education immediately. What is his plan? What is his schedule?
Of course everyone is having a good laugh at Maximos Mansion, because the (non) issue of the Pontic Greeks is dominant in the opposition, which seems to forget that the people want creative politics from it. Of course from the government they demand solutions for the problems that affect us today – and not something that has been solved years ago by a unanimous law and is a part of history.
