The President of PASOK Fofi Gennimata argued that SYRIZA’s ambition of forming an independent government is a ‘delusion’, while underlining that Greece needs a government with broadest possible public support, meaning that many political parties must come to an agreement.
During her Wednesday morning interview on ERT, Mrs. Gennimata noted that she was unable to understand how the political parties managed to cooperate over the summer in order to keep Greece within the Eurozone, yet now there is talk of independent governments “that leads nowhere”.
Mrs. Gennimata also told the public broadcaster that “what the country needs is a plan, consensus, work and care”, while commenting that she is not satisfied with the quality of the political discourse so far in the election campaign period.
