The Ioannina Lake Run and Street Relays which took place over the weekend was a success, as the six events managed to attract over 3,000 participants.
The three-day event in the city of Ioannina included six events, amongst which are a 30-kilometer race around the lake and relay races in the city streets.
Rowing champion Katerina Zerva, who participated in the relay races, commented that the races were a great opportunity to help motivate people to exercise and make sport part of everyday life.
The next Street Relay event sponsored by Vikos will take place in the city of Volos on the 2nd of November.
