The detained urban guerrilla Nikos Maziotis recently spoke to Efimerida ton Syntakton and – as a member of the Revolutionary Struggle – has accepted the political responsibility of the bombing of the Bank of Greece in April, noting that the IMF’s offices in Greece are hosted there.

Maziotis also sent a message to his fugitive partner Panagiota Roupa, telling her to “stay free and raise our son” and that “despite the casualties, the struggle continues”. In his interview his expresses his sorrow for the injury of innocent bystanders during the shoot-out in Monastiraki, but noted that the injuries came from ricochets, rather than direct shots.

Finally, the stressed that “anyone who thinks that they are a fighter or an anarchist and believes that they must act within the limits of lawfulness, should better join a legal parliamentary party, to become a part of the system and not pretend to be a fighter or rebel or anarchist«.
