Bank of Greece documents 9-billion-euro cash deficit

The Bank of Greece published its data for the ten-month period between January and October 2013, according to which there is a 9.079 billion-euro cash deficit in the central government, compared to a 6.775 billion euro deficit in the same period of 2012.

According to the published data, the regular budget revenue was estimated to be 37.993 billion euros, not including 1.5 billion euros that derived from the Greek bonds owned by European central banks. The budget revenue last year was found to be 39.080 billion euros.

The budget expenses came to 47.909 billion euros, including 5.287 billion euros paid out in outstanding debt to third parties. Last year the expenses were 44.521 billion euros.

The primary cash balance of the state budget was estimated to be 3.365 billion euros, including the 1.5 billion from Greek bonds.
