The Ariadne ferry boat departed from the port of Piraeus about an hour and twenty minutes late on Monday evening, after a bomb threat was called in.

Security agents of the port authority ordered an evacuation of the ferry boat and after the 1,119 passengers disembarked, an inspection was carried out.

After failing to find anything suspicious, the passengers returned and the ship left Piraeus at 22:20, rather than 21:00, as initially scheduled. The Ariadne will travel from Piraeus to Samos, Chos, Mytilene and Limnos before reaching Kavala.
