Two elderly sisters, aged 71 and 80, were found dead in their home in the mountainous village Komnina near Xanthe.
Both women were tied up and the house was a mess, leading the Police to believe that the possible motive behind the crime was theft. A medical examiner and a crime labe crew have been dispatched to the scene.
The local police have prosecuted six suspects in relation to the crime. They were taken to the Stavroupoli police station for questioning. At the moment investigations are focused on locals, with more people expected to be prosecuted.
