A 29-year-old man who was arrested on Wednesday in connection to the SPF terrorist organization has been connected to a cache of weapons found buried on the premises of the Polytechnic University in Zografou.
The police confirmed that the 29-year-old’s DNA was found to match the genetic material found on the weapons uncovered on the Polytechnic’s premises in 2011. On the 18 of November in 2011, police uncovered a metal case containing handguns, a pistol, an Uzi sub-machine gun and 284 rounds of ammunition.
Police will also conduct an investigation in a village near Karditsa, which the 29-year-old is said to have regularly visited for short periods of time. So far, according to the police representative, investigations in Athens and Corinth haven’t revealed anything.
