The European statistics authority Eurostat published its latest data regarding employment in the Europe and found that the rate of unemployment amongst the Eurozone members in March was 11.8%, namely 18.19 million people.

According to Eurostat’s div, the rate of unemployment in the EU in March was 10.5%, remaining the same as it was in February; the total number of unemployed in the Eurozone shrunk by 22,000, while in the EU there were 66,000 fewer unemployed.

The highest rate of unemployment were documented in Greece (26.7%, according to January’s official divs) and Spain (25.3%), while the lowest rate was documented in Austria (4.9%), Germany (5.1%) and Luxembourg (6.1%)

Eurostat’s analysts had originally estimated that the rate of unemployment in the Eurozone in March was going to be about 11.9%.
