The European Mediterranean Seismological Center reported that an earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale took place on Wednesday morning, at about 25 kilometers from Patra and at a depth of about 1 kilometer.
While not being particularly strong, the earthquake was felt in Patra and Aegio due to its rather shallow epicenter.
