The Ministry of Finances will host a party committee meeting in order to discuss a number of tax issues. The Deputy Minister of Finances Mavraganis and the representatives from New Democracy, PASOK and DIMAR will examine the emergency real estate tax (EETA) and the taxation of fields.
The prerequisites for a 100% exemption or reduction the EETA tax for households near the poverty line will be announced by the Minister of Finances Stournaras over the next few days. Any reduction will only apply to property that is the tax-paying owner’s primary residence.
It is estimated that about 35 to 50 million euros will be required to implement exemptions and reductions from the EETA tax.
