At least three houses have gone up in flames in the old city of Lefkada, after a fire broke out on Monday morning.
About 35 firefighters with support from a helicopter are currently engaged and struggling to contain the fire.
Fire Brigade officials have commented that the narrow roads in the old city are making it difficult for fire fighters to approach the fire.
