Political leader debate to be broadcast on all channels at 9pm

The first political debate is scheduled to begin at 9pm on Wednesday and will be broadcast on all television channels. The leaders of all political parties, except Golden Dawn, will participate in this first debate, with the second – scheduled for the 14^th of September – being between Alexis Tsipras and Evangelos Meimarakis.

The debate will be coordinated by ERT journalist Panos Charitos, with the journalists of six major channels posing questions: Olga Tremi (Mega Channel), Sia Kosioni (SKAI), Maria Houkli (ANT1), Mara Zacharea (Star Channel), Antonis Sroiter (Alpha) and Makis Giobazolias (E-TV).

Both political debates have been agreed to take place at the ERT facilities. After the debate concludes, the public broadcaster has planned a discussion to discuss and comment on the debate itself.
