An emergency meeting has been called by the Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras for noon on Wednesday at the Ministry of Finances, in order to discuss the progress of negotiations.

The Minister of Finances Yanis Varoufakis and the members of the negotiation team will participate. The meeting is also interpreted as further proof of the PM supporting the Finance Minister Varoufakis, who has recently come under fire.

Meanwhile, the negotiations between Greece and its creditors continue, with Athens aiming to reach an agreement by the end of the week, in spite of the significant differences cited by European officials.
