The counter-terrorism police as received a 20-page declaration from the Group of Popular Fighters (OLA), which has claimed responsibility for the armed attack against the Israeli embassy on the 12th of December.

The 20-page declaration was located in a garbage bin in Nea Smyrni, after a phone call was made to the Efymerida ton Syntanton newspaper.

Regarding the shooting in December, the official police report notes that 54 7.62mm shells were found on site, fired from a Kalashnikov assault riffle. There were no injuries, just damages to the building’s face.

The same group had also claimed previous attacks against the residence of the German ambassador in Athens (December 2013), as well as the assault against New Democracy’s central officers (January 2013) on Sygrou Avenue.
