On Tuesday the Supreme Court is expected to decide on the appeal launched by the Ministry of Finances against an Athens Court decision, which ruled in favor of dismissed cleaners and demanded their reinstatement.
The cleaners have announced that they will stage a peaceful demonstration outside the Supreme Court on Monday and have called for support. Public sector trade union ADEDY has announced a 24-hour strike and a solidarity demonstration outside the Supreme Court.
Last week though the Supreme Court prosecutor proposed that the Ministry of Finances’ appeal application be accepted and that the cleaners should not be reinstated.
