Πυροτεχνουργοί του στρατού Ξηράς ψάχνουν για υπολείμματα από την επίθεση που είχε γίνει στις αρχές του χρόνου κατά των κεντρικών γραφείων της «Mercedes» στη Βαρυμπόμπη, την Τετάρτη 12 Φεβρουαρίου 2014.Σε εξέλιξη βρίσκεται έρευνα της Αντιτρομοκρατικής Υπηρεσίας και του Τμήματος Εξουδετέρωσης Εκρηκτικών Μηχανισμών, στη Βαρυμπόμπη, μετά τη δημοσιοποίηση της προκήρυξης για ανάληψη ευθύνης σχετικά με την επίθεση στο σπίτι του Γερμανού πρεσβευτή στο Χαλάνδρι, η οποία ανέφερε, μεταξύ άλλων, ότι η οργάνωση «Ομάδα Λαϊκών Αγωνιστών» είχε πραγματοποιήσει επίθεση με δύο ρουκέτες κατά των κεντρικών γραφείων της «Mercedes» στη Βαρυμπόμπη. After searching the surrounding area of the Mercedes-Benz facilities in Varybobi, members of the Army’s bomb disposal unit located the remains of a rocket in a crater.
The investigation was prompted after the Group of Popular Fighters referred to an undocumented rocket attack against the German car-maker’s dealership in their latest declaration.
The remains have been gathered and sent to the police’s crime laboratories for further examination.
