The Minister of Agricultural Development Athanasios Tsaftaris spoke to Vima 99.5 FM and revealed that about half a billion euros will be invested in agricultural development programs over the next six to seven years.
Mr. Tsaftaris explained that if necessary, further funding assistance will be available from the NSRF and two growth funds.
The Minister also noted that the procedures for securing government funding will ensure that the funds ends up in agriculture and supports national production.
