The former Minister of Finances and National Defense Yannos Papantoniou and his wife Stavroula Kourakou were set on bail, after they were addressed questions on Tuesday regarding their tax statements.

The investigative magistrate Meropi Poulaki Kyriakidou set Mr. Papantoniou and Mrs. Kourakou’s bail at 100,000 and 50,000 euros respectively.

Mr. Papantoniou and his wife face felony charges regarding tax statements in 2009 and 2010, as well as a 1.3 million euro bank account deposit in Mrs. Kourakou’s name, which was located in the controversial Lagarde list, but which had not been declared with the Greek tax services.
