The Prime Minister Antonis Samaras visited the State Treasury at noon, accompanied by PASOK ministers Christos Protopappas and Philippos Sahinidis, where a conference is currently under way.

While the reason of the PM’s visit has not been revealed, it is believed that the meeting is related to the planned offsetting of debt and VAT for the public sector as a whole.

The two PASOK ministers are likely to help determine and establish the criteria for the various social groups that will receive the emergency benefit deriving from the primary surplus.
