With the coalition government managing to pass a controversial multi-bill in Parliament, the pharmacist unions have arranged to meet on Monday in order to discuss their future strike action.

Last week the pharmacists announced their intention to go on an indefinite strike over provisions in the multi-bill which the unions consider will have a disastrous effect on their operation. As such, they announced a strike, with only a handful of emergency pharmacies remaining open in Attica.

The strike has meant that customers have had to queue outside the few available pharmacists for many hours at a time. Confusion was also caused on Saturday, when the VP of the Pharmacist Association of Attica stated that the number of emergency pharmacies would increase from 50 to 150.
