The President of Parliament Evangelos Meimarakis has formally approved the formation of a special parliamentary committee which will be assigned on the controversial German reparations issue. The committee is tasked with submitting a report by then of the year.
The 19-member committee included MPs from all of the political parties and the group of independent MPs currently represented in Parliament:
- New Democracy: Sofia Voultepsi, Yannis Kefalogiannis, Andreas Koutsoumpas, Athanasios Davlouros, Giorgos Orfanos, Prokopis Pavlopoulos, Giorgos Stylios and Kostas Tzavaras
- SYRIZA: Manolis Glezos, Maria Kanellopoulou, Panagiotis Kourouplis, Yannis Stathas and Dimitris Saltouros
- PASOK: Konstantinos Triantafyllos
- ANEL: Notis Marias
- Golden Dawn: Ilias Panagiotaros
- DIMAR: Grigoris Psarianos
- KKE: Spyros Halvatzis
- Independent MPs: Nikos Stavrogiannis
