According to a study on employment, the rate of unemployment in Greece during the final trimester in 2013 increased to 27.5%. In detail, during the final trimester of the year there were 3,589,657 employed compared to 1,363,137 unemployed.

The study showed that the rate of unemployment increased to 27.5% from 27% in the third trimester of 2013 and from 26% in the forth trimester of 2012.

Overall employment was reduced by 1.3% compared to the previous trimester and 2.5% compared to the forth trimester of the previous year. Likewise, the number of unemployed grew by 1.3% compared to the third trimester of 2013 and 5.2% compared to the last trimester of 2012.
