The farmers in Peloponnesus have announced their intention to hold the roadblocks until Friday, when their coordination committee is scheduled to hold an assembly to decide the future of their actions.
At present the farmer road blocks are set at Gargaliani in Messinia; Vlachioti, Sykia, Molai, Limni and Sparta in Laconia, as well as at the entrance to the city of Argos and Aegio.
The farmer unions which have taken to the streets are expecting to hear back from the government regarding their demands for lower taxation and initiatives to help reduce the cost of production.
