PASOK announced today that it is taking the initiative to begin discussions for a new set of regulations for NGOs, in the aftermath of an NGO scandal revealed the huge extent of corruption and fraud.
According to the announcement, PASOK wants to ensure that the new legal framework will bring transparency, meritocracy and security to the formation, funding and operation of NGOs, in order to avert further such phenomena of corruption.
