The suspended school wardens are holding a demonstration outside the Ministry of Administrative Reform on Tuesday morning, a few days before their eight-month suspension runs out. Should the government refuse to transfer them elsewhere in the public sector, they will effectively be dismissed.
The president of the school warden union of Athens and representative of the nationwide coordination body Haris Bastas explained that all his 2,000 colleagues want is a job and that they are out of time. The suspended school wardens will attempt to see the Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
