According to the Municipality of Kefalonia, most of the island’s schools have been given the green light to reopen by teams of inspectors, who completed their second survey of buildings damaged by the recent seismic activity.
In its announcement, the island’s municipal authorities clarified that all nurseries will remain closed, as will a number of schools in Lixouri, Argostoli and villages around Paliki, since the damages suffered have not yet been restored.
