The Geodynamic Institute of Athens has reported that a 4.5 magnitude earthquake was documented at around 12.34 today, about 12 kilometers west of Argostoli and at a depth of 5 kilometers. The latest earthquake was felt in Lixouri and surrounding villages.
While the seismic activity has greatly reduced over the past few days, the Geodynamic Institute stresses that the aftershock activity from the seismi fault is expected to carry on.
