The police subdirectory of Serres announced the arrest of three individuals – a 34-year-old man and two 33-year-old women – for blackmailing a 53-year-old man from Serres.
According to the police announcement, the three individuals threatened to post personal pictures of the 53-year-old man on facebook and managed to extract 500 euros from him. When the three started pressuring the victim for further money, the 53-year-old contacted the police.
A sting operation was set and the three perpetrators were arrested by the police. The man and two women will be taken to court later in the day to state their plea.
