Giorgos Chatzimarkakis announced the formation of his new political party and has arranged a press conference at the offices of the European Parliament at 1.30pm on Thursday afternoon where he will make the official presentation of the party’s principles and founding declaration.
The German-born politician who has represented the German Free Democratic Party in European Parliament since 2004 explained that his party’s goal is “to give a strong representation in the next European Parliament” and argued that he represents the “voice of Greek society which despite being tested, is struggling and needs real support to make it”.
On Monday Mr. Chatzimarkakis also presented his book on Greek values and the formation of a «new» Europe at Greek American Association’s theater in Athens.
