According to the police, Kyriakos Griveas and his wife Anastasia Vatsika have been arrested in England at about 12:30 today. The police explained that all necessary actions have been taken so that the couple is extradited to Greece as soon as possible.
International warrants for the arrest of Griveas and Vatsika had been issued after it was revealed that the couple was implicated in the Postbank scandal. Kyriakos Griveas is thought to have taken out a 17-million-euro loan from the Postbank in 2009, without providing any collateral.
