The Minister of Education Konstantinos Arvanitopoulos announced that the “subject bank” would be used for this year’s high school exams, without however clarifying whether this will be implemented as defined in the relevant legislative bill.

According to the bill, 50% of the subjects in the end-of-year high school exams are meant to derive from the bank, however the National Exams Organization has not yet been established, nor has a president been appointed.

The likeliest scenario is that a far smaller percentage of subjects will come from the subject bank, in the first year of implementation.
