The Geodynamic Institute of Athens documented a 3.3 Richter earthquake at about 150 kilometers south of the coast of Ierapetra, at around 11:37 on Monday morning.
There is some concern amongst scientists, since three other earthquakes occurred in the region on Sunday; a 4.3 Richter earthquake occurred at 5:28, a 3.8 Richter earthquake at 13:05 and a 3.3 Richter earthquake at 13:12.
